                  ART CLASS                    

ART TEACHER - Mrs. Carolyn Nelson

The Art classes at East Millsboro and Long Neck meet one time a week for forty minutes.  Each grade level works on different projects and learns various skills and concepts.  Some of those skills and concepts are:  color recognition and mixing; cutting on the fold; clay work; and the elements of Art.  The Fifth Grade classes make masks and ceiling tiles. These tiles are hung up and serve as a legacy to that year's class.  Students who have graduated from high school often come back to see their tiles.  Art classes are conducted so that every child  can achieve success and go away from Art feeling good about his/her work.
