GYM TEACHER - Mr. Joe Walls

Hello, my name is Joe Walls.  I am the physical education teacher at East Millsboro and Long Neck Elementary schools.  As your child's phys-ed teacher, I look forward to an exciting year working with both you and your child.  Our program is designed to educate your child on the fundamentals and enjoyment of movement, fitness and health.  Since grades 1-5 will participate in physical education for only 40 minutes each week, your child will be encouraged to do fitness activities at home and at play to improve his or her fitness level.  Sample at-home activities include:  rope jumping, soccer, basketball, swimming, bike riding, walking, ballet, dance, skateboarding, jogging and other activities where the student is moving continuously for 30 minutes.
