Positive Behavior Support Program (PBS)

Students have been taught the school expectations for classroom and non-classroom settings. All areas of school are covered by these expectations, such as (but not limited to) waiting for the bus, getting on and off the bus, riding the bus, hallways, bathrooms, cafeteria, assemblies, nurses office, business office, and in the classroom. The expectations that we promote at school are as follows:
Be Ready
Come prepared.
Do our best.
Be Respectful
Listen effectively.
Keep our hands and feet to ourselves.
Use kind words and quiet voices.
Be Responsible
Follow directions.
Make good choices.
Report problems.
Accept consequences.
Students who follow school and teacher expectations will be recognized for their
efforts by receiving
Smiley Coupons,
Point Values, and by participating in our scheduled celebrations at class level,
grade level or school wide.
When school expectations are not followed, specific consequences will result
based on the behavior.
Consequences for Inappropriate Behavior
General reminders will be given about inappropriate behavior.
Individual reminders or redirection will be given about the inappropriate behavior.
Students could receive a Level One discipline form and teacher consequences.
Chronic behavior will result in additional support or office referral.
**Certain actions warrant immediate administrative
involvement such as fighting, inappropriate language, possession of contraband
or weapons,
harassment and threats.
