On Saturday, June 24, 2000, the sculpture "Muse" was dedicated in memory of Gene Bowne at the Southern Delaware School of the Arts. Mr. Bowne was the Instrumental Music Teacher for the Indian River School District from 1960 until 1998. He is greatly missed. The sculpture was created by the S. D. S. A. Class of 1999.
